Important! OWA can only be set up on university laptops!

I am an employee in the central University Administration. I will immediately inform KIM when my employment relationship with the University Administration ends.

User information

When using Outlook Web App (OWA), you have the possibility to view your e-mail inbox at home or on the go and to handle your e-mail. You must note that

  • when using the program, it is possible that data from the administrative network could be transferred to your personal/private devices.
  • the data protection guidelines must be followed, the system used corresponds to current security requirements, e.g. by installing updates
  • a current virus scanner and a firewall are used.

On mobile devices, you must also ensure that 

  • the automatic lock is enabled in case the device ends up in the wrong hands.
  • if log-in data is saved, that they are protected by a complex password (mix of letters, numbers, and special characters) or a PIN (at least 8 digits), and
  • that it is possible to delete remotely in case the device is lost.

On all other points, please see the KIM’s user regulations. Note: The requirement for use is a secure connection (VPN) to Hohenheim. For this, you will need a Hohenheim user account. (As of: 6.2017)
