Access to Hohenheim network

Are you out and about and want to access electronic journals and databases in Hohenheim? Are you planning on working from home? Are you a guest from another university and would like to sign in to the Hohenheim network?

There are several ways you can connect to the Internet and Hohenheim network:

At home or on the road - VPN

If you are at home or out and about, you can login to the Hohenheim network to access electronic journals. 

Conditions

Requires a working VPN connection on your device. You can set it up in Hohenheim or at home.

Logging in to the Hohenheim Network

  • Connect to the Internet via LAN or WLAN
  • Start your VPN client and authenticate with your Hohenheim user account
  • You will now be assigned a Hohenheim IP address and granted the same rights you would have on campus.

At a research institute worldwide - eduroam

If you are visiting a scientific institution, you can connect to the internet using eduroam.  You can also set up an additional VPN connection to the Hohenheim network in order to access electronic journals, for example.
