Publication Fund

The University of Hohenheim has launched a fund to support open access publications starting 01.08.2024. Researchers at the University will receive financial support for the publication of their research results in Open Access via the publication fund. For all open access articles accepted by the publisher from 01.08.2024, authors can submit an online application for funding participation for their publication. The KIM is responsible for managing and processing the Publication Fund.
You can apply for funding during the entire publication process, ideally when your article is accepted into the peer review process.

Funding is available for journal articles in fully open access journals (Gold OA) and hybrid subscription journals (Hybrid OA) and monographs.

Articles published in Gold OA journals as part of DEAL contracts with the publishers Springer Nature, Wiley and Elsevier can also apply for funding from the Publication Fund. There are no publishing costs for you as an author in the hybrid journals of these publishers, so you do not need to apply for funding for these articles.
