The University of Hohenheim has set up a fund to promote Open Access publications as of 1 August 2024. Researchers at the University receive financial support for the publication of their research results in Open Access via the Publication Fund. For all Open Access articles accepted by the publisher from 1 August 2024, authors can submit an online application for funding participation for their publication. KIM is responsible for managing and processing the publication fund.
You can apply for funding during the entire publication process, ideally when your article has been accepted for peer review.
Funding is available for journal articles in fully Open Access journals (Gold OA) and hybrid subscription journals (Hybrid OA) and monographs.
Articles published in Gold OA journals under DEAL contracts with the Springer Nature, Wiley, and Elsevier publishers are also eligible for funding from the Publication Fund. In the hybrid journals of these publishers, there are no publishing costs for you as an author, so you do not need to apply for funding for these articles.
