Redirections are practical, but can be problematic from a data protection point of view. This is the case when sensitive data leaves the area of application of the University of Hohenheim, data flows out or is accessible to third parties. The following principles therefore apply in the area of university administration.
An automatic forwarding can be set up on the server side upon request by the user
- to another e-mail address within the university administration or
- to an e-mail address of the Hohenheim user account if it is ensured and confirmed in writing that no forwarding is set up and active for the Hohenheim user account.
The following also applies:
- E-mails may only be retrieved using business equipment.
- Automatic forwarding to an external e-mail address is not permitted.
