Conditions

To borrow media, you need a library card for the KIM library and a library account.
You can find information on the library card and library account here.

Guests of the University of Hohenheim

University of Hohenheim guests can receive a temporary library card at the Central Library circulation counter. You will need a valid passport as well as a confirmation of status signed by the institute or department.

Renewals

If you need a book beyond the regular loan period you can renew the book under certain conditions. more

Overdue notices

If you don´t bring back the borrowed books in time you have to pay a fine depending on the library. more

Holds

Media already on loan from the Central or Departmental Library’s holdings can be reserved in the Catalog. more

Orders from our external stack

Due to a lack of space several books and journals are kept in an external stack and must be ordered via the Hohenheim catalogue. more

Book return

You can return books at the circulation desk of the lending library. more

Loss of library card/ Changes of personal data

If you lose your library card, please inform the circulation counter (Tel: 0711/459-22097, e-mail: ausleihe@uni-hohenheim.de).

Please notify us of changes in your name or address either using the homepage (“Library account”), via e-mail, or personally at the circulation counter in the Central Library.
