Plagiarism recognition
With Turnitin, you can check digital documents for suspicion of plagiarism, evaluate texts, and give your students initial feedback. The anti-plagiarism software recognizes basic matches with other scientific texts and lists these in an easily viewable manner.
Features
- Paper Assignment: Text analysis with lists of all matches between the submitted text and possible sources, inserting comments and tips by instructors, individual evaluation of defined criteria, various report overviews. This is the base assignment of all other assignment types.
- PeerMark Assignment: Evaluation of a text using feedback of other students.
- Revision Assignment: Students can overwrite previous submissions and work on it again.
- Reflection Assignment: Students have the possibility to write about what they have learned, reflection assignments do not receive originality reports and grades.
- Formats for upload: MS Word, WordPerfect, RTF, PDF, PostScript, HTML, Plain-Text-Format (.txt), ODT
Who gets an account?
- Faculty of Agricultural Sciences: Currently, access to Turnitin is only given to staff members of Faculty A. Please request an account informally via email:
Dr.-Ing. Karin Amler (karin.amler@uni-hohenheim.de) - Faculty of Natural Sciences: Faculty N checks only dissertations with Turnitin. Each professor can request an account informally:
