Acquisition consultation

By coordinating media acquisitions across the library system, we build a collection that is systematic and tailored to user needs. This ensures that funds for books and journals are used optimally.

Our goal is to avoid unnecessary duplication, provide additional copies when needed, and ensure that our users have access to the broadest and most relevant selection of media possible.

Affected types of media

The types of media which must be consulted on (regardless of the procurement title) are:

• Journals
• Serial Publications
• Electronical media (e-journals, e-books, subject databases, etc.)

The purchase of individual books does not have to be coordinated with the KIM.

Procedure

Please fill out the consultation request, sign it and send it either by internal mail to the KIM Library or send it as an e-mail attachment to zeitschriften@uni-hohenheim.de. After the library has given its approval, please include a copy of the request with each invoice instruction.
