Services

Here you can find IT equipment which the KIM can give to University institutions. The devices are usually given free of charge.

This is equipment used by KIM or old devices from institutes which have been given to KIM for disposal. The equipment has been tested by KIM and usually has no technical problems, but shows signs of wear and tear.

No guarantee is given.

Requirements

Equipment is given only to University institutions.

It is unfortunately not possible to give equipment to employees or students for private use.

The demands are usually processed in the order they are received. However, KIM reserves the right to decide who receives the device. Requests by telephone cannot be accepted. We will contact you.

If you are chosen to receive the device, here are the next steps:

1. Confirmation from institute director
   Fill out the form “Device acquisition” digitally as a pdf, print it, and have it signed and stamped by the institute director.
2. Pick-up
   The devices can be picked up by appointment at the IT Service Desk (Garbenstr. 30 | Bio 1 | Lower level 1 | Tel: +49 711 459 24444 | e-mail: kim-it@uni-hohenheim.de). There is a freight elevator. Please make sure to bring with youthe completed and signed acquisition form. and the letter from us or at least the device number, otherwise we cannot give you the device.
3. Inventory
   If necessary, please inform the central Asset Accounting Unit (see the annex sheet on inventory on the right).
