Registration of publications

The Hohenheim University bibliography is working towards high-quality bibliographic data on as many Hohenheim publications as possible starting from 2005.
In order to reach this goal as efficiently as possible, we ask for your assistance.

Who should register publications?

  • Professors
  • Lecturers
  • Scientific staff
  • Doctoral students
  • Habilitation students

Which publications can be registered?

Independent works

  • Monographs (subject-area books, etc.)
  • Edited books (conference proceedings, reference works, festschrifts)
  • University papers (doctoral thesis, habilitation, Diplom and M.Sc. theses registered on OPUS)
  • Discussion papers
  • Bibliographies

Dependent works

  • Journal articles
  • Articles in edited works (e.g. conference proceedings, reference works, subject-area books)

In general, the following guidelines apply:

You can register publications which you wrote, published, or translated.

Only published contributions and publications will be shown.

“Published” in the sense of the University bibliography means that the documents have been made available to a broad public in the long-term in printed or electronic form.

For electronic publications, this means that they are in a databank, on a publisher’s server, or in a repository (e.g. OPUS or AgEcon Search).

Printed publications should be able to be purchased in a bookstore or the conference organization or have been published with a self-publishing company. Alternatively, it is sufficient if it is present in the KIM Hohenheim library or in another library in Germany and can be borrowed via inter-library loan.

Not included are:

  • Publications such as project reports which are not available long-term, for example
  • Conference contributions which are not available on conference websites for a long period of time
  • Publications which are distributed only to a certain group of people with the stipulation “only for internal use”.
  • Flyer
  • Blog posts
  • Welcome address

How can the publications be registered?

You can inform us about your publications in two ways:

1. Reporting the publications using a form

Publications can be reported to the University bibliography with a form. The newly reported will be automatically sent to and processed by the University bibliography staff.

You can download the form for reporting publications here.

2. Reporting via post / email

If you do not want to report your publications using the form, you can also send us a copy of the new publications.

The delivery can be done via post as well as submission in the KIM Library. It is also possible to send the documents as a pdf attachment in an email.
