ILIAS Live-Voting

ILIAS Live Voting is a voting system for events. The questions are shown by beamer, and students can use their smartphones or tablets to vote (requires an Internet connection).

Scenarios

  • Testing prior knowledge or preconceptions in an introductory session,
  • verify understanding, check acceptance of a theoretical model,
  • community building, establish a social atmosphere, such as with questions about student interests and personal backgrounds,
  • initiate discussions by taking up the vote,
  • tailor content priorities and time management to the students,
  • study evaluation,
  • check attendance (non-anonymous)

Important

  • In ILIAS, administrators can use a live voting system. The live voting system can be added to ILIAS courses as a learning object.
  • ILIAS Live Voting has been available since 20 March 2013 in all newly created courses. If you would like to add ILIAS Live Voting to already existing courses in ILIAS, please contact ILIAS Support.
