Virtualisation using VMware
The University of Hohenheim participates in the VMware Academic Program. This scheme gives you free use of vmware virtualisation products for Windows and Mac.
Conditions
You may only use the software for your study course, teaching and research, or on non-commercial projects (such as teaching, your study course, research, university software projects, etc.).
Period of use, license
- You can use the software for 12 months, as long as you are a member of the University of Hohenheim.

Procedure
- Fill in the form and send it off.
- After a few days you will receive an email directly from the IT Academy Brightspace with an invitation to redeem the subscription.
- Click on the link contained in the email, log in to the VMWare / D2L Brightspace website or create an account if you do not already have one.
- You will then be asked to redeem the subscription.
- You can now request software keys in the various courses, download software and also view training courses.
