External storage of partial holdings (In German language only)

For space-saving reasons, the KIM Library is forced to store part of the older literature in external stacks. This guarantees that the annually growing holdings in the Central and Departmental Libraries will continue to be freely accessible over the next few years.

Media stored in the external stacks

All journal volumes from both libraries up to around 1980 as well as older book holdings are stored in the external stacks.

Ordering

Media can be ordered online using the KIM library’s catalog. In the catalog entry you can find media stored elsewhere, and you can order it on the right side of the screen (“Bestellen”).

To order, you will need your library account access data.

A regular car service (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) guarantees that media ordered via the catalog is provided in a timely manner. All orders must be picked up at the Central Library’s circulation counter, where the ordered media are ready to be picked up starting at 2 pm for 10 days. Media that cannot be borrowed is available for use within the Central Library.
