Licencing of Adobe products

Because the license negotiations with Adobe failed at the federal level, we recommend using alternative products whenever possible.  

The negotiations are centered on an alternative to the VIP model for the new CC licenses as a replacement for the CS6 versions.  Besides the switch to rental versions, there are calls for a much more easily manageable license management model and the possibility to purchase licenses on a device basis.

The following table gives an overview of possible alternatives to the most common Adobe products. This is only a selection; the list does not many any claim to be complete! A general alternative is Corel, a provider of software products in similar areas.
