Updates available for many Apple products  [25.01.23]

The manufacturer Apple has closed a vulnerability in older iPhones and iPads (iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3 and iPod Touch (6th generation)) with a security update on 23.01.2023 with the update to iOS 12.5.7. The vulnerability is rated with a CVSS score of 8.8/10 and is said to have already been exploited. By calling specially crafted web pages, it was possible to execute malicious code and leak information.

Apple has also released updates for iOS and iPadOS to version 16.3, macOS Ventura to version 13.2, as well as updates for macOS Big Sur and Monterey, tvOS to version 16.2 and watchOS to version 9.3. In addition to fixing various vulnerabilities not described in detail, these updates now enable the use of USB-C or NFC hardware keys for two-factor authentication (2FA), among other things.

Please install the security updates provided by Apple in a timely manner.
