New group study room in the departmental library  [02.10.24]

The Departmental Library in the east wing of the castle now offers 20 additional work spaces. With the opening of Reading Room 2, a new group study room, the KIM is expanding its range of learning spaces for its users and is thus responding to the needs of students. The room was previously used as an office and could be obtained by condensing the staff space elsewhere.

When furnishing the new reading room, we took into account the wishes of the library users: the room is equipped with sound-absorbing fabric panels to ensure a quiet working atmosphere even in the adjacent areas. The four work islands are equipped with power connections and can be moved around the room as needed by unplugging the power supply. In addition, a mobile monitor with HDMI cable is available for connecting your own devices. An additional Wi-Fi access point ensures a good internet connection. The room's equipment offers ideal conditions for working together and giving presentations.

The new reading room is located on the ground floor of the departmental library, directly in front of the staircase leading down to the lower floor. Opening hours are as usual:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 - 21:00
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 - 21:00

We look forward to receiving your feedback on this new service and hope that the new reading room will make your collaboration easier and further improve your study and working conditions.
