Adobe releases unscheduled security updates for partially critical vulnerabilities  [28.10.21]

Adobe released unscheduled security updates for 92 vulnerabilities in 14 products on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021. These include widely used products such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere. These vulnerabilities have been fixed for the Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems. The possible consequences of exploiting the gaps include the execution of arbitrary program code and privilege escalation by attackers or program crashes after denial-of-service attacks or memory leaks. The BSI recommends that users of potentially vulnerable Adobe products apply the respective security updates as soon as possible. As a rule, Adobe releases its (security) updates on Patch Tuesday. An unscheduled release is very unusual and an indication of criticality. No exploitation of the vulnerabilities is known so far.
