GPTalk, the University of Hohenheim's data protection-compliant AI chat service, launches today in a completely revamped version. From now on you benefit from:

• Easy access: Direct login with your Hohenheim user ID - no need to register with external providers.
• Open to all: GPTalk is open to all members of the University - students, lecturers, researchers and staff.
• Intelligent chat history: Your conversations are automatically saved, searchable, resumable, exportable - and can be deleted at any time.
• Group chats with AI: Create collaborative group rooms - similar to WhatsApp. The AI provides support as an active member if required, summarises discussions or contributes new ideas.
• More choice of models: Use GPT-4.1 or powerful open source alternatives such as Llama 3 or DeepSeek - depending on your use case.
• Better prompts, better results: If desired, GPTalk optimises your input automatically - as a brainstorming tool for better prompting and better results.
• Export with added value: Save entire chats as a PDF - including summary, metadata and language models used.
• Subsequent editing: Correct prompts directly in the history - and have new responses generated without losing the chat history.
• Customisable system prompt: Control the role of the AI specifically - for example as a writing coach, discussion partner or source of ideas.
