Two-factor authentication for bwSync&Share from 2 March 2026 [16.02.26]
From 2 March 2026, two-factor authentication (2FA) will be mandatory for logging in to the web application bwSync&Share via Shibboleth. After entering your username and password, you will also be required to enter a one-time password (OTP).
If you have already set up a token for VPN access, you can use the same token to log in to bwSync&Share. No additional setup is required.

App passwords for desktop clients are not affected by this change. The login process for guests also remains unchanged.
