New: AI chat service for research and science [18.10.24]
The University of Hohenheim is now offering a new AI-supported chat service via the GWDG. The "ChatAI" service has been specially developed for use in science and research and is now available via a simple registration with the Hohenheim user ID. Access is via the Academic Cloud:

Available models
The AI service offers a selection of models that can be used for different purposes:
- Meta LLaMA 3.1 (8B und 70B): Language models from Meta that are suitable for processing scientific queries.
- InternVL2 8B: Model with multimodal capabilities that can process text and image information.
- Mistral Large Instruct: Large language model for general instruction processing.
- Qwen 2.5 (72B): High-capacity language model for in-depth queries and research.
- LLaMA 3.1 SauerkrautLM (70B): SauerkrautLM (70B): Special variant of the LLaMA model with a focus on scientific applications.
- Codestral 22B: Model for programming and code generation tasks.
Terms of use and data protection
The AI chat service may only be used for scientific purposes. The general terms and conditions of the Academic Cloud apply. It is important to note that the service may not process any personal or sensitive data. Protecting privacy is of the utmost importance: no content is stored permanently and chat history is not stored on the servers.
