WiFi access for Android users  [01.03.16]

Users of mobile phones and tablets operating with Google Android should install the Deutsche Telekom certificate in their personal certificate store to be able to safely use the Eduroam WiFi provided at Hohenheim.

The reason for this is that Android devices do not use this certificate as standard and therefore do not indicate potential risks (e.g. spying for usernames and passwords).

However, it is not always possible to install a certificate on all Android devices – you will therefore not have authenticity verification and will run an increased risk by using Eduroam.

Therefore please check whether a certificate can be installed on your mobile or tablet and install the Deutsche Telekom root certificate in your personal certificate store. Installation instructions can be found here: https://kim.uni-hohenheim.de/98109?id=98109&L=1
