Increased requests for inclusion of external e-mail addresses in mailing lists  [12.02.21]

We are currently experiencing an increasing number of unauthorized requests from external e-mail addresses for inclusion in mailing lists (list servers). The aim of these requests is to become part of the mailing list and distribute spam or malware via it. Therefore, please check carefully which external e-mail address you include in the mailing list.

If your mailing list is static in composition or only Hohenheim email addresses are to be included, then you can also secure the mailing list. To do this, click in the settings on

[Privacy options...] and if necessary [Subscription rules]

In the [Ban list] section, you can block all requests from external email address with one entry:

^.*@(?!(.*\.)?uni-hohenheim\.de$)

The entry has no influence on the existing members. If you want to add new members with an external e-mail address, you can temporarily remove the entry, add the new e-mail address and then reinstate the entry.

If you have any questions, please contact the KIM.
