For members of other universities, you can use eduroam to receive internet access. However, your home university must also participate in eduroam to use it.

Internet access

Internet connection with a cable

Please use the marked slots. You can borrow a cable from the circulation counters of the Central and Departmental Libraries. Instructions for setting up wired network access can be found here.

Wireless network connection

You can access the university network and the Internet in the entire Central Library and in the following rooms of the Departmental Library via the wireless networks operated by KIM (HoWLAN2):

  • Ground floor: Journal Reading Room
  • 1st upper level: all rooms

Instructions on how to use the service are available here.

The transmission speed of data decreases with wireless access as the number of users using the access point increases. For a fast Internet connection, it is recommended that you use a network connection via cable.

Guest access

If you are a member of another university and a guest at Hohenheim, you can access the Internet via the open network access points. You can find instructions here.

There are several options for printing on the multi-function devices from your own laptop computer.

You can find all options and information here.
