Internet access using eduroam

Wireless internet access via eduroam works in Hohenheim, but also at many other  scientific institutions worldwide.
For access to the University of Hohenheim network, you also need a VPN connection.

Installation

So that you can connect using eduroam, you need to install an eduroam supplicant on your device. You can find the installation instructions for this programme here:

Accessing the Internet via eduroam

  • Connect using WiFi  with the network eduroam.
    eduroam can be found in all areas in Hohenheim that are supplied with WiFi by KIM.
  • Identify yourself with your Hohenheim user account and the domainuni-hohenheim.de
    If no domain is requested, your log-in is: 
    [Hohenheim user account]@uni-hohenheim.de (e.g. mueller@uni-hohenheim.de)
  • Now you can use the internet

Connecting  with the Hohenheim network, as well

  • If you want to work with the same rights as in Hohenheim, you can also start your  VPN Client .
