Internet access in the student residence hall

The residence hall manager is responsible for a cable network connection in the student residence halls. In Hohenheim, that is the Student Services Tübingen-Hohenheim.

In most residence halls, data ports are available. There you can connect your computer to the internet. Please contact the Studierendenwerk to find out which settings and access data you need for this.

In a few residence halls that have not yet been converted by Studierendenwerk, you must use the "old" procedure:

      • Set your device to automatically assign the required IP parameters via DHCP. Your computer will get an IP address starting with "10." (The name server addresses are 144.41.2.20 and 144.41.5.20)
      • To be able to work on the internet, start your VPN client and identify yourself with your Hohenheim user account
