Online seminar Open Access at the University of Hohenheim - Introduction and funding opportunities (March 26, 2025, 10-11:30 a.m.) [17.03.25]
The online seminar Open Access at the University of Hohenheim - Introduction and Funding Opportunities will take place on 26.03.25 from 10-11:30 a.m. The focus is on various aspects of publishing in open access. The university's Publication fund, which was set up by the rectorate on 01.08.24, is designed to promote OA publications. The funding is managed by KIM, which is why we would like to provide an insight into the funding criteria and the application process.
The first part will be a general introduction to the topic:
- What is open access and what are the advantages of it?
- What options do you have for making your research results available through open access?
- What are Creative Commons licenses and what rights do you have as an author of a scientific publication?
The second part of the training program focuses on the financing of open access publications:
- What offers and funding opportunities are available to you at the University of Hohenheim?
- What is the new publication fund and what criteria must be met for funding?
- How does the application and approval process for funding through the publication fund work?
