Coffee Lectures on Research Computing   [11.05.26]

In summer term 2026, the Office for Research Services at KIM offers Coffee Lectures on the topic of research computing.

Whether data analysis, simulations, or computationally intensive projects — the Coffee Lectures are aimed at researchers and students from all disciplines and provide hands-on insights into various aspects of research computing: from data structures and storage types to performance optimization. In addition, two sessions will introduce high-performance computing (HPC), with a focus on the HPC infrastructures available in Baden-Württemberg (bwHPC).

The sessions take place every other Wednesday at 14:15h, as part of the AIDAHO Initiative's Tinkering Club — a student-run platform for data science and AI projects.

Attendance is possible both in person and via Zoom, with no registration required.
