eduroam – please renew your Wi-Fi profile by 21 November 2026  [03.11.26]

On 21 November 2026, the current security certificate for our eduroam access will be discontinued. Therefore, a new eduroam profile from the University of Hohenheim is now available, which must be installed.

Who is this affecting?
Anyone who set up eduroam on a device before 23 September 2026. Please update the profile on each of these devices (smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc.) by 21 November 2026 at the latest. Otherwise, you will no longer be able to access the Wi-Fi via eduroam on that device after that date.

If you set up eduroam on 23 September 2026 or later, you do not need to do anything.

Not sure whether this affects you?
Simply update your profile – it only takes a few minutes and won’t do any harm.

Important: The username for eduroam consists of the username for your Hohenheim user account followed by @uni-hohenheim.de (e.g. abcdef123@uni-hohenheim.de).

For systems that receive software updates automatically from KIM – as is the case, for example, in the administration department – the following applies: KIM provides an update via the DSM Installer. When using eduroam, all you then need to do is enter the username of your Hohenheim user account, followed by @uni-hohenheim.de, and the corresponding password.

You can find detailed information and installation guides for the various operating systems under ‘eduroam Installation Guides’ and on our website: https://kim.uni-hohenheim.de/en/eduroaminfo
