Information for students on installing Windows 10

There are several ways you can download and install Windows:

MS Media Creation Tool:

• If you want to download Windows using the Media Creation Tool, then first you should obtain, install, and execute the tool and then enter the Windows key in the tool.
• The tool will then automatically register and validate the Windows key with Microsoft, and Windows will activate itself normally after installation.

Order ISO from Microsoft:

• Follow the instructions and link you got together with the key from Bildung365.
• As soon as you follow the link, you will first need to enter the Windows key before getting access to the ISO. This registers/validates the key with Microsoft for use.
• After installing the ISO (DVD/EZBoot/UEFI-Boot), the key can still be activated normally.

Existing Windows 10 Edu data carrier:

• If you already have a Windows CD or ISO and install it, then at first everything will work normally with the key you received from Bildung365.
• But if you want to activate Windows after installation, an error message appears that says you should try again later.
• To activate Windows, you need to follow the link to get the Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft. Here you then enter the key you received and confirm it. You do not need to download the ISO, and you do not need to re-install Windows. The key has now been registered and validated by Microsoft for use.
• After you have done this, the Windows 10 Edu you have installed will automatically activate if you have an internet connection. If this is not the case, then start activation via internet in the settings.
