Internet access via eduroam

If you want to use the Internet access via eduroam as a guest, there are two different options:

  1. Your home institution supports the eduroam roaming service.
  2. No access to eduroam is available through your home institution.

Your home institution provides eduroam

If your home institution supports the roaming service eduroam, you can use it to connect to the Internet at the University of Hohenheim.

Before travelling

Please make sure that the eduroam connection works on your device before coming to Hohenheim. It will be difficult to install eduroam here in Hohenheim, as you require software and installation guides from your home facility.

Accessing the Internet via eduroam

  • Connect using WiFi with the networkeduroam
  • You usually identify yourself with the user account from your home institution and the domain from your home institution (e.g. “uni-ulm.de”). If no domain is requested, your log-in is:
    [Useraccount]@[Domain](e.g. mueller@uni-ulm.de)
  • Now you can use the internet

Your institution does NOT provide eduroam

If your home institution does not support eduroam, you will need to request a guest account from the hosting institution in Hohenheim.
