Conditions

The KIM Library, divided into the Central Library (ZB) and the Departmental Library for Business, Economics and Social Sciences (BB) is open to all University of Hohenheim members as well as to all persons with their place of residence is Germany.

A library card can be requested at the circulation counter of the Central Library and will be issued free of charge right away after the applicant has shown valid identification (student ID, ID, passport with a valid registration card).

  • Viewing your book requests and online requests (inter-library loan requests and requests from the external stacks)
  • Viewing late fees and other messages
  • Viewing address on your account

  • Submitting inter-library loan requests

How to access your library account?

You can view your library account via the Hohenheim  Catalog.

Your user ID is your user number. You can find this number on your library card. Your password was given to you at registration. When you log in for the first time, you will need to change the password.

Using the electronic resources

The University of Hohenheim has licensed numerous electronic media (subject databases, e-books and e-journals). As a guest of the university, you can use this service exclusively on designated computers in the library. Research results can be printed or downloaded to a USB drive.
Under licensing law, use outside the library (i.e., from home, for example) is prohibited for guests of the university.

Free use of the Internet is only available with an eduroam account.
