Access from off campus
All electronic ressources are unlocked for the computers in the library as well as all other computers of the campus network. Non-members of the Universität Hohenheim may only research in the e-journals from the computers without log-in in the KIM library.
University students and staff can also access the books from any other location or personal computers via VPN.

Access when off campus
VPN
The VPN-client enables you to access nearly all publishers and providers. A manual how to install the client can be found, sorted by several devices and operating systems on our homepage: https://kim.uni-hohenheim.de/VPN-en
As soon as you have installed the VPN-client you have access, you have to login using your Hohenheim user account.
Please start the VPN-Client first and start the web browser afterwards to get access.
Shibboleth
Alternatively, there is the possibility of using the web log-in via Shibboleth Identity. Here you have to choose the University of Hohenheim using the button “Log-in via your Institution” on the platform of the publisher. Enter your Hohenheim user account. This type of identification only accept users of the library that are members of the University of Hohenheim.
Shibboleth allows you to access only parts of the electronic collection. Not all publishers and providers support this way of identification.
