Windows 10 available to download via ILIAS  [19.08.15]

In July Microsoft released its new operating system windows 10.
The KIM currently still recommends installing Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. There is as yet insufficient experience with Windows 10 and there generally tend to be even more bugs and vulnerabilities with the new versions of the operating system.

Should you nevertheless wish to use Windows 10 in the near future, we would urge you to read our installation instructions and note the data security settings.
A manual and the Windows 10 download link can be found in ILIAS: https://ilias.uni-hohenheim.de/goto.php?target=crs_415277&client_id=UHOH

It is essential that you find out before installation whether the software you are using is already supported by Windows 10 and whether your hardware is also compatible. This information is generally listed on the websites of the manufacturers in question.

If you are still using Windows XP, we would urge you to upgrade to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. for security reasons.

You will not be charged for the licence providing your computer already has a valid basic licence.
